Does SEO matter ?

SEO has been one of the main ways I’ve been driving daily traffic to my Substack newsletter in the past year:

And it happened without me intending it, it just happened out of nowhere.

I started seeing daily traffic to some of my Substack articles.

And some of that traffic ends up converting into newsletter subscribers:

Some months I get a lot more subscribers, others I get none.

So there’s no guarantee, but it’s one of the best ways you can grow your newsletter in the long run without having to be actively promoting it.

I’m currently testing growth using Reddit community posts and trying to have them indexed on Google Search.
