If you didn’t know.
I love finding new ways to make online without having to invest a $1 in paid ads or tools.
That’s exactly what I’ve been doing on Reddit for the last few weeks.
I’ve been on Reddit for more than half a decade.
But in the last few weeks, I’ve been a lot more active.
Mostly leaving comments under posts in communities (or subreddits, however you want to call them) related to expats, freelancing, business and remote work.
And I’m currently growing a few communities.
Why grow a Reddit community ?
I want to monetize Reddit traffic.
Why Reddit?
Well, because Reddit ranks top 3 most clicked website in Google Search results in the US.
It’s a goldmine for high quality leads, especially if you’re looking for clients in the US, Canada or the UK.
So far my Reddit communities have been growing slowly every days, this is r/remotewriter:
Here’s a new community called r/NewsletterBusiness which I started 2 week ago:
I’m simply writing posts in my communities with a CTA to my Gumroad digital products at the end.
Like at the end of this mini case study I just wrote on how I grew my Substack:
And to drive traffic to my Reddit communities.
I simply leave comments under other posts, genuinely helping people out with their problems and directing them to my communities.
That way I’m not directly promoting myself, well I am actually but indirectly.
And so far it paid off, I made two sales this week:
Which isn’t bad for having invested $0. 😅
I basically spilled the beans on how I’m monetizing on Reddit.
