I don’t usually DM big corporations but sometimes I do try to see where it goes.
Back in 2024, I direct messaged a manager on LinkedIn in a big Tech company in the IDE(Integrated Development Environment) space.
I pitched my services as a technical writer months but they’ve already found someone for that position.
But I kept following up until I got this LinkedIn DM:
Following up will help you keep your funnel of leads/clients active.
It reminds them of you, and whenever they got something to be done, you’re the first person they will think of.
You send them a connection request, they accept, you DM them and you get a response.
You’ve already done 80% of the job at that point!
So instead of going to Fiverr or Upwork, they will come to you.
If you want to see the initial cold DM and which company it was, or ask me whatever questions you have on freelancing 24/7.
You can by joining the $9/month private group on Ko-fi.
And thank you all for the support, this helps my Substack newsletter tremendously! ❤️
