Iām making $2000/month freelancing with this ākeep it simple, stupidā method
You don't have to be a genius!
Iāve tried landing gigs on freelancing platforms like Upwork and Fiverr.
And I can tell you it really sucked a**.
Racing to the bottom with low wages isnāt going to make you money.
And on top of that youāve got Upwork putting their hands deep into your pockets and taking 10%.
Thatās not for me.
But then how should you be landing clients?
Well, itās fairly simply but you have to know how to do it and be consistent.
That thing is called cold emails.
āColdā meaning that you send an email to someone who doesnāt know you and in that email youāre selling them something or offering them a service.
My best clients came from sending cold emails, it sucks because a lot donāt respond but it works!
Itās like cough syrup, it tastes like š© but it works.
Here are some cold emails I sent last year to software companies offering them my services as a technical content marketer:
With email the key to getting clients is consistency.
You canāt be sending 1ā2 emails per month and expect to land those clients.
You have to incorporate volume, thatās how cold email works donāt ask me why.
Some emails land in Spam, sometimes your email gets lost in their inboxes just to never be seen again. (thatās why following up is important!)
Look for 2ā3 potential clients every day and send them a personalized email.
I know it takes some time and it sucks but hey, do you want to make money or not?
Do that consistently and Iām 100% sure at the end of the month you will get at least a response.
And most important of all, have a positive mindset and donāt give up. š
I made a short eBook on how Iām sending those cold emails. āļø
